Competency to Wed

Disputes over death benefits – present or future – may prompt a challenge to one’s competency to wed. Is the examinee exploited by a gold digger? Is the person pathologically dependent? Is the union a product of duress? The Forensic Panel emphasizes history and background information. Neuropsychology and psychology testing, however, may respectively add to the understanding of a person’s fundamental intellect or shortcomings, or personality vulnerabilities that may be taken advantage of as well as reasoning and depth not heretofore appreciated. The peer-review system of The Forensic Panel ensures the highest level of integrity for each assessment of competency to wed, through objectivity and resourceful diligence.
