Deaths during Arrest

Much like death in police, court and correctional custody, an investigation must be conducted to determine accidental, negligent, or intentional death during an arrest. The sensitive nature of such investigations requires impartial and unbiased assessment, as well as thoroughness and meticulousness, all qualities for which The Forensic Panel is well known. Forensic Panel pathologists are able to remain neutral while carefully examining a case involving the death of an individual that took place during an arrest. Peer-review ensures both thoroughness and accountability in the forensic expert determination of what information best accounts for deaths during arrest.
