Parents have a federally mandated right to request a special needs assessment from their child’s school district. Often, results of a special needs assessment may not be consistent with what parents and teachers feel is best for their child. In such case, parents have the option of attaining an independent assessment for learning disabilities, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, autism, and other neurological conditions. The Forensic Panel’s expert neuropsychologist will carefully incorporate history and perform selective special needs testing in order to accurately discern if any diagnosis is appropriate. Moreover, The Forensic Panel’s neuropsychologist draws from the oversight of peer-review, from colleagues who promote the objectivity of findings, and whose critical feedback helps to refine conclusions to reflect an evidence-based, definitive last word in a special needs assessment case.
