Parents have a federally mandated right to request a special needs assessment from their child’s school district. Often the results of such an assessment may not be consistent with what parents and teachers believe is best for their child. In such case, parents have the option of attaining an independent assessment for learning disabilities, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia and autism, as well as other mental health disorders. The Forensic Panel’s expert child psychiatrist will create a custom evaluation in order to accurately discern if a diagnosis is appropriate. Moreover, the primary examiner works with a peer-review team that ensures evidence-based reports and the most thoughtful assessment of needs.
