Application of Jeremy Bamber to CCRC

Jeremy Bamber was convicted of killing his adoptive mother, father, sister and his sister’s two young children in England in 1986. Sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime, Mr. Bamber retained The Forensic Panel in the course of an appeal to evaluate whether a sound moderator was used in the killing of his adoptive sister Sheila Caffell. This determination was a highly pertinent consideration in establishing whether Jeremy Bamber played a role in the victims’ deaths.

The Forensic Panel’s forensic pathologist reexamined the evidence and prepared a peer-reviewed report which remains key to Mr. Bamber’s appeal to The Criminal Cases Review Commission of the United Kingdom.
