Shortly after the aviation terrorism of 9/11, an American Airlines flight crashed shortly after takeoff into a neighborhood in Queens, New York. There were no survivors. Several forensic psychiatry and psychology specialists of The Forensic Panel reviewed records and examined surviving children of victims of that flight. That flight had crashed over Queens, New York in September 2001.

The assessment charted the nuances and progression of injury after the loss of a parent support system, and contributed to successful settlement before trial.
