James D. Seward, Ph.D., is a clinical and forensic neuropsychologist with particular expertise in evaluating research methodology and a range of forensic assessments. Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, his career reflects diverse exposure to forensics, psychology and neuropsychology. Dr. Seward is recognized for his scrupulous objectivity and integrity. Currently a neuropsychologist with the Banner Alzheimer's Institute, Dr. Seward also has well-cultivated expertise in forensic assessment, epidemiology and geriatrics.

Dr. Seward was previously a forensic psychologist at the Delaware Psychiatric Center, where he was responsible for the assessment and treatment of criminal defendants, consulting law enforcement agencies, and the training of interns and students. As a recognition of his professional and academic reputation, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, one of America’s finest forensic psychology programs, honored Dr. Seward as their Distinguished Alumni in 2001.

He has published and presented nationally on a variety of topics including neuropsychological assessment, psychological testimony, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, dementia and malingering. Along the way, Dr. Seward has been particularly well-regarded for his down-to-earth manner and ability to communicate and teach the complexities of neuropsychology and statistical issues to lay audiences.
