Lionel Raymon, Pharm.D., Ph.D.
Lionel Raymon, Pharm.D., Ph.D., a clinical and forensic toxicologist, is Chair of the Pharmacology Division for Kaplan Medical academic test preparation services. An Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology, Dr. Raymon’s expertise draws from sensitive case experience and the responsibilities of academic training to contribute rigor to methodology and peer review.
Dr. Raymon is a member of the Editorial Board for Forensic Science, Medicine, and Pathology, Dr. Raymon is a preeminent expert in drug facilitated sex assault and has substantial case experience in the assessment of rohypnol and other drugs of exploitation. He is a lecturer whose expertise bridges the interface of pharmacology and toxicology with medical and behavioral sciences.
Dr. Raymon’s has presented and lectured both nationally and internationally in medical pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and pathology. Co-editor of the widely-used Handbook of Drug Interactions: a Clinical and Forensic Guide, Dr. Raymon has demonstrated the range of his scholarship through publications such as Postmortem Forensic Toxicology of Trazodone; Postmortem Forensic Toxicology of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors: A Review of Pharmacology and Report of 168 Cases; Analysis of Urinary Benzodiazepines and Metabolites in “Driving Under the Influence” Cases: The Need for Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry.
