Nancy Slicner Ph.D., ABPP, Lt. Col. (Retired) USAF

Nancy Slicner Ph.D., ABPP, Lt. Col. (Retired) USAF, has a long and distinguished career in forensic psychology, consulting around the world on some of the U.S. Department of Defense’s most sensitive cases. She is currently a Senior Forensic Psychologist in the Family Advocacy Command Assistance Team of the Department of Defense and a consultant on sex crimes and interpersonal violence for the Air Force Military Judicial System. The former Chief of the Violent Crimes Branch of the US Air Force Criminal Investigations Division’s Office of Special Investigation (OSI), Dr. Slicner was responsible for the training and supervision of mental health professionals and investigators alike, contributing to a range of highly sensitive casework.

Dr. Slicner is the Co-Founder of the American Mental Health Counselor’s Association, distinguished for national standards of education, training, and clinical practice.  She was the instructor and developer on the technique for Investigative Victim Matrix used by the Department of Defense. Dr. Slicner’s diverse experience includes the assessment of abuse claims,  domestic violence and sexual offenders,  and she has played an instrumental role in the assessment of child sex abuse cases at military facilities throughout the world.  

Dr. Slicner is affiliated with the American Academy of Forensic Science, American Psychological Association, American Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, American Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology, and Society for Police and Criminal Psychology.
